Woodstock building has high visibility

The building is close to public transport and provides easy access to the CBD, southern suburbs and Paarden Eiland.

A building on the corner of Newmarket and Nelson streets, with accessibility from both streets, will be auctioned by ClareMart on June 27, offering investors an opportunity to own a lucrative commercial property in Woodstock.

The auction group’s Farrell Perling says Woodstock has been regenerated over the last few years.

“The unprecedented demand for commercial and residential properties in Cape Town, coupled with the easy access to the city that Woodstock offers, has made properties in this area extremely sought after for investors and young entrepreneurs,” he says.

“The stand-alone property – which is rumoured to have been an entertainment centre for visiting sailors – is highly visible and has outstanding signage or branding potential with exposure to passing traders, motorists and pedestrians on two road frontages.”

The building is close to public transport and provides easy access to the CBD, southern suburbs and Paarden Eiland.

“It is ungraded and will be sold with vacant occupation on transfer of the property,” says Perling.

The building will be auctioned at ClareMart’s multiple commercial property auction on June 27 at 12.30pm at The One & Only Hotel, V&A Waterfront.
