Variety of assets from collapsed road construction company expected to be on offer
The liquidators handling the Mokwena Surfacing liquidation have appointed WH Auctions Cape to sell the road construction company’s assets.
The auction will take place on May 24 at 10.30am and promises to be the largest of its kind held in the Western Cape in many years, says Martin Dibowitz, who heads WH Auctions Cape.
The road resurfacing assets on offer include Hamm rollers; Wirtgen milling machines; Vogel asphalt pavers; CAT and Bomag road reclaimers; mechanical brooms; a MAN bitumen tanker sprayer; and drop-side trucks with pumps, he says.
“On the earthmoving and construction side, there will be CAT graders, excavators, digger loaders, front-end loaders, tele-handlers, late-model tipper trucks, tractors, a low-bed trailer, water tankers, crane trucks and more.”
Repossessed running and non-running executive and passenger cars, SUVs and LDVs, de-fleeted rigid trucks with a variety of bodies, and forklifts will also be on offer.
Smaller items will include generators, tools, signage, scaffolding and piping, office furniture and laptops.
“We are expecting more than 300 lots,” says Dibowitz.
The auction will be held at WH Auctions’ yard, 17 Dacres Avenue, Epping 2. Viewing will take place on May 23 from 9am till 4.30pm.
