1 Eat and drink
The Foodbarn (021 789 1390) is a favourite. Franck Dangereux is one incredible chef. The Farm Village in general is a great destination. Head there to try our rum in a Copeland Daiquiri. The Wednesday market is loads of fun too.
2 Nightlife
Live music at Cafe Roux (021 789 2538) on Friday nights. Also in the Farm Village, expect uncomplicated café food for breakfast and lunch along with home-made cakes, scones, muffins and tarts, freshly baked in-house and served throughout the day. Live music, comedy and dance showcase South Africa’s most exciting artists in an intimate setting from Wednesdays to Saturdays.

3 Drink
Have a coffee at Village Roast (084 280 2024), and ice cream from Kirsten’s Kickass Ice Cream (072 563 7642). It’s handmade in small batches using local dairy and hand-picked, sustainable ingredients. Cape Point Vineyards (021 789 0900) for a glass of wine and sensational views, as well as the Thursday night markets.
4 Outdoors
Visit the horses on the common, and enjoy sunset on the beach. Noordhoek beach stretches for more than six kilometres.
