“Balie Bay cove is sheltered from the south-easter and has its own secluded calm turquoise water beach."
A development under construction and due for completion next year offers an opportunity to invest in one of only two luxury units. The units, which offer spectacular views over Balie Bay – a lesser known “gem” of the Atlantic Seaboard – are priced at R36 million, says Seeff Camps Bay agent Pola Jocum.
Buyers can also customise the finishes. Jocum says the “exquisitely located little bay” and beach is located between Camps Bay and Bakoven.
“Balie Bay cove is sheltered from the south-easter and has its own secluded calm turquoise water beach. You can in fact spot this little beach all the way from the top from Table Mountain. Close by, you have the choice of the two Bakoven beaches and the pavement cafes which create a village seaside resort feel.”
Around 15 properties have sold in this area over the last year at an average rate of R85 914/m², making it one of the most sought after on the Atlantic coastline.
Prices achieved range from R13.25 million for a 203m² apartment to R44.46/m² for the penthouse which is also the highest price achieved in the Camps Bay area over the past two years.
“Properties do not come onto the market here often and are hence snapped up by astute buyers,” Jocum says.
