Plattekloof, Durbanville homes on offer in urgent curatorship auctions
The Michael James Organisation will on December conduct urgent auctions of two properties that are under curatorship.
One property is located in an exclusive crescent of townhouses in Plattekloof, and the other in Aurora, a suburb of Durbanville.
The first property is a face-brick townhouse sited high on the hills of Plattekloof at 5 Onserus, 13 Keurboom Crescent.
It will go under the hammer at 11.15am, says CJ du Toit, a representative of the Michael James Organisation.
“Plattekloof properties are always in extremely high demand,” he says. “This townhouse offers three bedrooms with main en-suite, a family bathroom, guest toilet, formal lounge, open-plan kitchen and dining room, study and an open patio with covered built-in braai. In addition, it has a double garage and a swimming pool.”
The property, also described as Erf No 21820, Parow, occupies a very manageable 333m² stand, he says.
The second home will be auctioned at 12.30pm on that day and is located at 17 Grobler Street, Aurora (Erf 3439, Durbanville). It has a total extent of 1440m², says Du Toit.
“This home has four bedrooms, two family bathrooms, a fitted kitchen and living areas consisting of a lounge, dining room, TV room and an entertainment room. There is a self-contained flatlet comprising a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchenette providing additional accommodation.”
Du Toit says the Plattekloof and Durbanville areas are always favoured by homeowners for the easy access they allow to the N1 highway and the City Bowl, while also being close to all amenities, hospitals, shopping centres and highly acclaimed government and private schools.
Both homes may be viewed between 2pm and 4pm on December 3.
Under the terms of the auction a 10% deposit plus 10% auctioneer’s commission must be paid on the fall of the hammer, with the balance payable on transfer.
