A large, renovated mansion in picturesque Himeville is a major attraction at Ian Wyles Auctioneers’ multi-property sale on Wednesday at The Durban Country Club at 11am.

Andrew Giddy, Ian Wyles property manager, says the company will also offer properties sourced from deceased estates and prime property in Pietermaritzburg.

The Himeville house is in Thomas Street, overlooking a dam and the spectacular southern Drakensberg mountains. It is next door to the Himeville Hotel and near the Himeville Nature Reserve. Himeville is about 130km from Pietermaritzburg and the gateway to the Sani Pass.

Bidders at the auction will have to provide a refundable deposit of R50000 with Fica documents as identification. On the fall of the hammer, the auctioneer requires a minimum 5% deposit, as well as the buyer’s commitment and balance of the purchase price within 30 days.
