An exceptional West Beach, Blouberg property will go under the Michael James Organisation’s hammer on July 6.
An exceptional West Beach, Blouberg property – the primary home of the former principal of Beyers Realty Group, which was liquidated following an alleged misappropriation of trust funds – will go under the Michael James Organisation’s hammer on July 6.
This is according to the auction house’s Paula Voges.
She says although the property has a municipal valuation of R5.2 million, it will be sold without reserve to the highest bidder, subject to confirmation by the joint trustees.
The multi-level home, located at 58 Watsonia Road, West Beach, is stylish and modern, with quality finishes throughout.
Floor-to-ceiling windows maximise views of the ocean and Table Mountain.
Also known as erf number 15116, Milnerton, the property stands on a site measuring 958m² and is situated in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, says Voges.
The house, which measures about 374m² under roof, includes an entrance hall with storeroom and stairway leading to a raised feature lounge area. There is a dining room with sliding doors leading to a balcony; an open-plan kitchen; an office; a guest toilet; five bedrooms, three of which have en-suite bathrooms; and a TV room with fireplace and sliding doors leading to an outdoor living area.
There is also a second outdoor living area located under a wooden deck and the entertainment space includes a jacuzzi and swimming pool.
Double and single garages, a paved driveway with a fountain feature and a garden which was landscaped, but now requires attention complete the property, she says.
Voges says Blouberg Beach is within easy walking distance and the home is situated close to all amenities, restaurants and shopping centres in the area.
She says Blouberg is a popular choice of residential area for city commuters as it is on the MyCiti bus route and offers easy access to the national roads.
The property may be viewed between 2pm and 4pm on July 4. The auction will take place on site at 11.15am on July 6.
