More than 1500 possessions of famous Hollywood mother and daughter, Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher, fetched more than $2million (R30m) at a Profiles in History auction.
A Singin’ in the Rain half-sheet movie poster signed by Reynolds and the film’s two other stars, Gene Kelly and Donald O’Connor, fetched $11400.
Fisher’s lifelike Princess Leia statue standing in a classic British telephone box sold for $10 800. The personal on-set chair used by Fisher while filming Star Wars Vl – Return of the Jedi fetched $10 240.
Reynolds died at the age 84 of on December 28, 2016 – just a day after 60-year-old Fisher died.
