Double-storey house with four bedrooms offers views of fairways

A Mediterranean-style, double-storey family home in Turtle Creek Golf Estate in Plettenberg Bay, will be auctioned at Rawson Auctions Western Cape’s multiple property auction in Rondebosch on April 25.

“The four-bedroom property oozes luxury and elegance, inside and out, with ornamental ironwork, water features, a lush garden, grand arcades, modern finishings and many extras,” says Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions Western Cape.

The home has a floor area of 600m², she says.

“Upstairs, there is a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. It also has a walk-in closet, a private lounge with fireplace, built-in cupboards and a balcony with views of the golf lawns and Keurbooms estuary.”

On this floor there is also a second bedroom with a private balcony.

The downstairs section of the house includes the two remaining bedrooms, both with built-in cupboards; two large en-suite bathrooms, each with bath and shower; two lounges; a double-volume dining room with a separate built-in bar area and a double-sided fireplace.

A modern, open-plan kitchen with built-in cupboards, island granite tops, oven and hob and a scullery is also on this floor, as is a herb garden courtyard.

The property has a large, wraparound patio with a built-in undercover braai area that looks over the estate and beyond to the coastline, Jovanovski says.

“It has a single and a double garage with remote-controlled doors, a fountain and a sprinkler system; and an alarm system.

“Turtle Creek is completely secure. It is an enclosed estate with a security system that includes 24-hour patrolling. In addition, there are lots of outdoor activities available both within the estate and in Plettenberg Bay, one of the most renowned towns along the Garden Route. The Keurbooms River, being an estuary, is regarded as safe for swimming, fishing and other water activities.”

The property will be auctioned at noon on April 25 at the Rawson Property Group’s Rondebosch head office. The reserve price is R7.995milion, but all offers will be considered.

No registration fee is required to bid. However, the buyer will be expected to pay a deposit of 5% of the purchase price, as well as 10% commission plus VAT over and above the purchase price on the seller’s acceptance of the bid. Bidders are required to be registered and must have with them certified copies of their identity documents and proof of residence.

All offers must be submitted on Rawson Auctions’ offer-to-purchase form. Contact or 0218371700 for a copy. Bids can be delivered to the Rawson Property Group at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.
