The ultra-modern and luxurious three-level apartment includes four bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms
A “jaw-dropping” Bantry Bay penthouse with 360 degree panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding mountains will be auctioned by Rawson Auctions Western Cape on Wednesday.
Set in the affluent Atlantic Seaboard suburb on the slopes of Lion’s Head, the ultra-modern and luxurious three-level apartment includes four bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, says Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions in the Western Cape.
Entry is via the middle floor, which includes a direct-access lift with a code, a lounge, kitchen, dining room, the main bedroom and a guest toilet. One floor up is a single bedroom. The two remaining bedrooms are on the floor below the entry level, as is a study nook, says Jovanovski.
“The penthouse at Sixty6 on Kloof is extremely bright, with glass windows all around and large sliding doors. It has state-of-the-art finishes and workmanship throughout, and double-glazed windows on the side facing the road for privacy. The living areas flow on to outdoor entertainment areas, which include a private pool and braai area for the penthouse occupants.”
The apartment also offers Oggie wooden floors throughout, an extra storeroom, three private and secure undercover parking bays, Smeg appliances, air-conditioning in all bedrooms and the lounge, and access to a communal pool that serves all the apartments in the block.
Jovanovski says all the furniture can be included in the sale for an extra R600000.
She says the new owner will have the choice of letting the property as an Airbnb, as the current owner is doing, for up to R17000 a day during the holiday season, or living there.
The penthouse will be auctioned at noon on April 25. The reserve price is R17.6million, including all the furniture, but all offers will be considered.
