Maskells will sell the assets of Spare Parts Manufacturing

Peter Maskell Auctioneers will next month sell the assets of once-profitable KwaZulu-Natal companies.

In a provisional liquidation sale on April 5, Maskells will sell the assets of Spare Parts Manufacturing. The sale is at the engineering firm’s premises at 258 Solomon Mahlangu Drive in Rossburgh.

Spare Parts Manufacturing was established in 1951 and has operated as one of Durban’s leading precision and general engineering workshops. The machinery on auction will include heavy-duty horizontal boring and milling machines, lathes, forklift trucks and office furniture. Viewing is on April 3 and 4 from 10am to 3pm.

The second sale – offering assets of two construction companies – will be held at the Maskell premises at 47 Ohrtmann Road, Willowton, Pietermaritzburg on April 12 at 9.30am. Viewing is on April 10 and 12 from 10am to 3pm.

The lots for this sale will mainly consist of construction plant and equipment, refrigeration trucks and LDVs with major brand names such as Isuzu, Hino, Dynapac, MAN and Mitsubishi represented.
