Double-storey Paarl home could be converted into guest house or student accommodation

A double-storey, five-bedroom Paarl home, which has the potential to generate R28000 per month in rental income, will be auctioned by Rawson Auctions Western Cape towards the end of this month.

Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions Western Cape, says the property, which is located on the main road, spans nearly 5000m² and is zoned commercial and agricultural. She says the zoning makes it suitable for an office, a hotel, bed and breakfast accommodation, a guest house or student accommodation.

Four of the five bedrooms are upstairs, as are two bathrooms. Three of these upstairs bedrooms are air-conditioned.

The fifth bedroom and another bathroom are on the ground floor, which also includes a lounge, an entertainment area and a kitchen with built-in cupboards, a scullery and pantry.

Jovanovski suggests that, with several universities and colleges situated in the surrounding area, the densely populated Boland town would be an excellent location for student accommodation, or the property could serve as a well-placed retail or office space.

The property will be auctioned at noon on March 27 at the Rawson Property Group’s head office at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.
