The auction will take place at Chamber House in the Royal Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg.
On instructions from the executor of a deceased estate and the existing owners of Msunduzi Blocks, Jooma Properties will on February 19 at 11.30am auction fixed property and movables at 14 Herschensonn Road, Plessislaer, Pietermaritzburg.
Msunduzi Blocks is a long-established business in Pietermaritzburg specialising in the making and supply of concrete building blocks to hardware stores and building contractors. All equipment, vehicles and tools of the running business concern will be sold.
The property (Erf 475) is close to Eden Gardens Hospital, Plessislaer Campus and Edendale Mall and the auctioneers feel the land size of over 3.3 hectares and prime location provide “unlimited development potential for a hospital, step-down nursing facility or student accommodation”.
Jooma says the land is sub-divisible and all work to register its sub-division has been done. The auctioneers will sell each proposed sub-division separately, one sub-division with vacant land and offices and then one with the block-making plant. The full property of 3.3ha – with or without the block-making plant – will be auctioned.
