GoIndustry DoveBid is preparing stock of at least 120 vehicles for its online auction starting on August 23.

GoIndustry DoveBid is preparing stock of at least 120 vehicles for its online auction starting on August 23. The auction house says it is expecting a wide array of vehicles, including luxury brands, affordable run-arounds, and commercial delivery vehicles.

Interested purchasers from all parts of South Africa can bid online from their homes or offices.

Jan Eksteen, project manager at GoIndustry DoveBid SA, says this will be the ninth auction staged for Government Motor Transport of the Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works.

“We will offer affordable entry levels cars and higher-end models such as Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C300 and Mercedes-Benz E350 Cabriolet.” Also on offer will be two of the fastest-selling used cars in South Africa at the moment: the Ford Figo and VW Polo.

Other models include Hyundai H1 buses, Nissan NP300s, Chevrolet Aveos, Chevrolet Utilities, Toyota Hilux double cabs, Ford Rangers and Toyota Quantum panel vans.

The catalogue will also feature quad bikes, including a Kawasaki KVF360 and a Yamaha YFM 400 Big Bear. “Interest in vehicle auctions is consistently growing. With South Africa’s recent downgrade to junk status, the market for used cars is stronger than ever.

Initially, the GMT bidders’ pool was located only in the Western Cape but has grown to a national level,” Eksteen says. John Taylor, operations director of GoIndustry DoveBid, says for online vehicle auctions, the auction house holds viewing days where people can inspect all the vehicles available.

“We have GoDove staff ready to advise and train individuals who aren’t familiar with the online auction process. There are no post-auction delays in the transfer of ownership as GMT staff will be on site to finalise the auction process.”

For details of mileage, dates of registration, vehicle accessories and more, see www.go-dove.co.za/ gmt9/. Vehicles can be inspected on August 25, 28 and 29 from 9am to 3pm at GoIndustry DoveBid’s premises at 10 Evelyn Street, Retreat, Cape Town.

Online bidding opens on August 23 at 5pm and closes on August 30 at 2pm. For more details call 082 806 8459 or 021 702 3206 or email jan.eksteen@liquidityservices.com.
