Two Absa buildings with sound investment potential are among the lots for the Broll Auctions and Sales auction at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg at noon on July 4.

The first on Absa’s list of disposals of non-core assets is a building in Anton Lembede Street in the Durban CBD. Previously used as Absa offices, the 15-storey building with gross lettable area of 11000m² includes ground floor retail banking, 14 office floors and 274 parking bays. Absa will negotiate a new lease for the ground floor banking hall.

There is a landmark Absa property in Fox Street in the heart of the Johannesburg financial district. Comprising eight storeys with a GLA of 3000m², the building has large, adaptable floorplates and is suitable for residential or commercial redevelopment.

Other properties on offer on July 4 include:

* Victory House, a heritage Joburg CBD building on the corner of Harrison and Fox streets, with 1850m² GLA;

* Apartment block in the Benoni CBD with 17 flats covering 1400m² in total on an erf of 3000m²;

* Redevelopment opportunity in Pretoria North in a mixed-use area;

* Development land in Hartbeespoort, Boksburg and Rustenburg.
