An electric can-opener has moved from the nice-to-have list to the must-have list.
As you grow older you realise you can’t always do the things you used to be able to do.
Mrs Mac has admitted her wrists are not as strong as they once were, and she has been battling to open cans. This means an electric can-opener has moved from the nice-to-have list to the must-have list.
This reminds me of a trick my dad taught me years ago: if you are battling to get something out of a can, open both ends and push it out.
Another trick: if you notice a bulge in the ceiling that might indicate a leak, take a screwdriver and punch a hole in the ceiling. This gives the water a hole to run out through. The water can be collected in a bucket, and you have a chance of saving the ceiling.
