Karin offers this advice
My husband and I have been cleaning swimming pools as an income for the past 12 years.
When the water shortage became a concern, we advised our clients to install wellpoints after we experimented with the water in a swimming pool.
Excessive chlorine will dissolve the iron in the water. If your water comes out brown, let it run in the garden and when it comes out clear, put it in the pool with enough chlorine. A better plan would be to buy a tank and let the water run in there from the ground.
Wait a day or two before you let it run into your pool. All the dirt and brown will be at the bottom of the tank.
