Contractors are in the hands of their employees, sub-contractors and suppliers.
When you read this there will be only two weeks left before the building industry shuts for its one-month annual holiday. Now is not
the time to expect the impossible.
Don’t rely on having projects completed by the holidays. Contractors are in the hands of their employees, sub-contractors and suppliers.
Whether we like it or not, things have changed and in many instances personal interests are put before the needs of clients.
This is sad, I know, but with everybody suffering from the effects of the economic downturn and the ongoing political shenanigans, we have to adapt or die.
So sit down with your contractor to plan what is actually achievable by the break, and don’t expect miracles. Stay calm and ensure
that all decisions are recorded in writing.
