Feedback: Mac plays with neighbours while the missus is away
Dennise, a regular reader of the column, is worried about the state of my garage and the imminent return of Mrs Mac.
He suggests I buy a leaf blower, and just blow everything outside through the door. At this stage it is not the mess I make, but rather the inactivity and ever-increasing pile of unused tools.
My neighbours of more than 30 years invited me around for a braai last night to console me during the absence of Mrs Mac.
Apart from the rugby, we were talking about water. Other long-term neighbours who are lucky to have relatively clear borehole water have purchased a Berkey water purifier.
These are not cheap, but they are now using their borehole water for cooking and drinking. They showed me the pH test results, which are amazing. There is a local agent and I will give details to anyone who is interested.
